Technology dictates that in the main, things technical are getting smaller all the time; take computers for example. In the cruise ship industry it seems that bigger is better, and over the next few years, there are going to be some cruising “monsters” parading around our oceans.
Celebrity Cruise Lines has been a wonderful success story in the cruise industry and judging by their future plans, they have got some pretty big things in store for cruise enthusiasts…namely big cruiseliners. Within the next three years, Celebrity Cruise Line will have added even more tonnage to its fleet of ships in the form of the Celebrity Solstice and the Celebrity Equinox. Both these new ships will roll off the assembly line about 30-40 per cent bigger than their Celebrity predecessors. One main drawback however, is that they probably won’t be able to transit the Panama Canal which will limit sailing to some of their more popular destinations.

Get ready for a fantastic culinary experience thanks to the creations of Michel Roux, the Michelin-starred owner of Waterside in London. Apart from these enhanced features, several other other changes have been made such as the introduction of the Concierge Class, which transforms the old premium ocean view staterooms by adding a number of extras.

Improvements have also been made to it’s suites and cabins however, these are still standard fare.
Celebrity Cruise Lines generally attract the baby boomer population, families and honeymooners so for those of us who prefer to enjoy a cruise without over the top behaviour then Celebrity are wonderful hosts in this area. Around the world cruises so far aren’t on their charter but they serve many of the famous ports in the world from Europe to the Caribbean.
