Last year, Terri Schiavo was on everyone’s mind when her fate became a bitter battle on many different fronts. The sad truth is that none of it had to happen. Terri’s wishes could have been known had she drafted a living will. That’s when I decided that I needed to take the necessary steps to create my own living will. If something should ever happen to me and I was unable to make decisions for my own healthcare, I didn’t want my family to go through the same kind of pain that the Schiavo family had experienced.
