Many people overlook a very popular, but often forgotten, Internet resource for starting a home business. “What is it?” you ask.
It’s Craigslist! Known all over the world for its free classified ads service, Craigslist is also a valuable repository for people looking for products and services.
Are you wondering what kind of business to start? Visit Craigslist.org and browse through the thousands of listings from people looking for all sorts of things from logo creation, public relations, article writing and more. It’s an ideal place to get started, especially for those who don’t have an extensive work history or experience. Check out our video for more about starting a home business using Craigslist.

Watched your video of Craiglist and enjoyed the information. Have never given Craigslist a thought, however will make use of it in future. Thanks for sharing.

That video was wonderful! Craigslist is definitely a great way to find any kind of opportunity, from finding day-to-day “gigs” or assisting in starting your home business. Great post!

I’d love to share with you some of the stuff we’ve been doing in the last couple months to help women entrepreneurs; we’re really committed to providing all the necessary resources to help women start, grow and expand their business.
We just wrapped up a women’s entrepreneurial tour across the US called “Vision To Venture;†the response and turn-out was great!
I’d really love your take on these offerings we have right now; I would have contacted you via email but I didn’t know which was the best way to reach you.
Thank you so much, I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds by directly contacting you. Definitely get back to me if I’ve piqued your interest– I’d love to share more info with you.

Craigslist is an excellent place to find work, but the only problem with it is that it is a free listing service, which attracts spammers and freeloaders. Most people could try a freelance job board. These work similar to a forum. It is a place where providers can meet with buyers. Freelance work is big on the net today, and these job boards are the place to be if you are looking for work.

Bryan - I agree that there are some that take advantage of the free nature of Craigslist, but I’ve found my best freelancers on Craigslist…especially when I’m looking for someone regionally that I want to work with.

Great advice, Craigslist is a great venue for finding anything and they have lots of traffic, so you can offer a service that you provide as well as looking for the services people require.
Thank you.

I’ve had Craigslist bookmarked for a while now. I’ve used the site to sell old furniture, find a hiking group, and to advertise an admin position for my online business. It’s a one-stop shop as far as I’m concerned.
